Stephen Musgrave

Stephen Musgrave grew up in Fleetwood and joined the Fleetwood Lifeboat in 1967 as a shore-helper. He became a crew member in 1969 and was Deputy Coxswain from 1977 to 1991. During this period he served on the Watson Class Ann Letitia Russell lifeboat, the Waveney Class Lady of Lancashire and the Tyne Class lifeboat William Street.
Ralph Glister Award
For the rescue of a wind-surfer off Rossall, in gale force conditions, Stephen and the two crew members Barrie Farmer and David Owen were presented with the R.N.L.I’s Ralph Glister Award with a citation ‘…for the most meritorious service conducted in a lifeboat under 10 meters in the UK in 1984.’
